Even if I don't have any plans arranged, I still find it necessary to have at least 3 costumes in queue for the big day. This year I wanted to challenge myself with one option that involves very intricate makeup.
1. Pop Art Cartoon
Made popular by Ron Lichtenstein, these cartoons are known for their bright colors, speckled skin, and over dramatic expressions. Here is my trial run of the makeup.
This dress will be perfect for the costume. I would add colored stockings, a bomber jacket, and a yellow wig.
2. 90's Nostalgia: Cher Horowitz
As if! After seeing Clueless at least 5,000 times, I know it wouldn't be difficult to stay in character all night long. This is why Cher Horowitz is an easy choice for a Halloween costume.
Hair & Make-up
Keep it simple. Get a fresh blow-out, some mascara and gloss and call it a day.
3. Scare Factor: Blackout Eyes
Any costume that you can use these for. Such a worthy investment, if you ask me. You will have no trouble scaring the living death out of people.
Dress in all white or all black, with a red lips for a pop of color. Don't be afraid to get creative with overly high heels or a long flowing dress for a 'hoovering' effect.
Soo many great ideas out there, be proactive and Google your favorite movie character or artist. You will be delightfully surprised at how many ideas are out there. It's ok to dress up as the 'IT' cosutme of the season, however, don't be surprised if you aren't the only person in the room dressed up as Miley Cyrus. If you are cool with it, try to make it a competition and see who is most accurately portraying the person.
Stay posted to see what my choice for Thursday will be!
